Exactly twenty-five years ago today, I loaded my bicycle onto a moving van and moved with my family from Toronto to Los Angeles.
Five years later, we were all granted permanent resident status by the United States of America, along with 194,788 other Canadians in the 1990s.
This inspired my latest Tableau Public viz, which shows decade-by-decade immigration figures from 68 countries named by the Department of Homeland Security. Plenty of fascinating trends to identify in this data set:
